Senior Chemist

Key Accountabilities

- Conduct experiments, tests, and chemical property analyses of products to ensure compliance with specified product standards.

- Research and develop adhesive products for the textile industry, including applications such as spray, printing, lamination, impregnation, flocking, finishing, leather, and coating.

- Test and improve existing products to enhance their quality and performance in line with customer requirements and market competitiveness.

- Provide technical services by conducting joint visits with the sales team to introduce the technical aspects of new products to customers, as well as to troubleshoot technical issues for both domestic and international clients.

- Improve existing products to enhance quality and reduce production costs.

- Develop and innovate new chemical products to meet customer needs.

- Prepare product samples as requested by the sales department for customer delivery.

- Conduct experiments to identify solutions to technical and quality issues arising during production and usage.

- Prepare analytical reports based on product testing results for submission to VP Product & Business Development.

- Maintain the cleanliness and readiness of the chemical laboratory to ensure a safe working environment.

- Perform other duties as assigned by VP Product & Business.

What we're looking for

- A Bachelor's degree or higher in Chemistry, Industrial Chemistry, or a related scientific field.

- Minimum 5 years of experience as a Chemist in a laboratory or industrial setting

- Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and critical thinking skills

- Strong attention to detail and a commitment to maintaining high standards of quality

- Effective communication and teamwork skills to collaborate with cross-functional teams

- Proficiency in using advanced laboratory equipment and analytical techniques

- Experienced in research and development of adhesives for the textile industry, including applications such as spray, printing, lamination, impregnation, flocking, finishing, leather, and coating.

- Knowledgeable in using testing equipment for adhesives used in the textile industry.

- Knowledge of emulsion polymerization and emulsion polymers will be considered an advantage.

- Willing and able to travel abroad.
